Remember ToeJam and Earl? Y’know, the Sega Genesis game about a couple of hip-hop wannabe aliens who crash on a planet that is allegedly Earth and have to find the parts of their ship to get home? It’s an old-school favorite, and people have been wanting another game in the series for a while now. Well, someone at Adult Swim Games must’ve heard the call, because today they released a teaser trailer for ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove, the first new game in the series since 2002 (though people don’t like to talk about the third one).
According to the Steam page, the game features nine playable characters, including the titular ToeJam and Earl, randomly generated stacked levels that allow you to look down, remakes of the original game’s soundtrack, and both split-screen couch co-op and online play. The game will be releasing some time in 2017.
