Wow, first Street Fighter V on ESPN2, now this. Esports are really moving up in the world.
Eleague, the esports league created by Turner Broadcasting Systems (or TBS, as you more likely know them), is teaming up with esports news site and competitive platform FaceIt to create a massive Overwatch open tournament, with a $300,000 prize pool up for grabs. The online open tournaments will begin on July 23rd in both North America and Europe, and the grand finals will be held on September 30th. The grand finals will be livestreamed on Twitch and, more interestingly, televised on TBS, with the winning team taking home a cash prize of $100,000.
