Earlier this week a rumor started floating around that No Man’s Sky would be delayed. Unfortunately the rumors about the delay have just surfaced to be true. The delay of No Man’s Sky will be only several weeks later than the original release, changing the date of release to August 9th in North America, August 10th in Europe, and August 12th in the UK.
Sean Murray, the founder of Hello Games, made a statement on Playstation.Blog about the delay. Sean Murray states that “as we approached our final deadlines, we realized key moments needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards.” The news about this delay is very unfortunate but it is also good to keep in mind that Hello Games is trying to keep the game up to everyone’s expectations. This could mean the delay is needed to make sure bugs, glitches and that sort won’t ruin everyone’s experience with the game.
