In an update on the Kickstarter page for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, it was announced that the game will not be making its projected March 2017 release date, and has been pushed back to some time in the first half of 2018.
IGA states the reason for this delay is that he wanted to make sure the game would be as polished as possible for its release, and he does not believe it would be able to reach that standard by March. In order to meet these quality standards, the development team has been expanded.
I didn’t back Bloodstained‘s Kickstarter (which isn’t to say I don’t want to play it), so I’m kind of indifferent to this news, but I imagine there’s at least a backer or two who’s a little unhappy about this. If nothing else, we can hope the game will look even better by 2018.
