Well, the Steam Summer Sale has come and gone. Hopefully you all managed to get some new games to play (I grabbed four, myself). Now that the giant is fading into the distance, perhaps the smaller retailers will be able to gather their courage and send their offerings to the masses forth. We can only hope. In the meantime, here’s some 4th of July deals.
The summer sale may be over, but Steam marches on with weekly deals. 216 products on sale this week, with notable inclusions being:
Guilty Gear X2 #Reload – 66% off for $3.39
Saturday Morning RPG – 89% off for $0.76
Green Man Gaming has a special coupon for today only. With voucher code “July23”, you can get 23% off any purchase. Not a huge difference from the usual, but a discount is a discount. There’s also a sale on Bossa Studios games, including Surgeon Simulator and I am Bread.
GMG has begun a sale on Bethesda games. Fallout games, Dishonored, DOOM, and Elder Scrolls games are all up to 50% off.
The Humble Store is having a “DRM-Freedom” sale, featuring a variety of games available both on Steam and DRM free. Some notable inclusions are:
Saints Row The Third – 75% off for $3.74
Dust: An Elysian Tail – 80% off for $2.99
Octodad: Deadliest Catch – 67% off for $4.94
It would seem Microsoft has arrived to throw their hat into the summer sale ring with the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale. A metric ass-load of Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows 10 games are available for up to 85% percent off, with an additional 10% off if you’re an Xbox Live Gold subscriber. There’s too many games to list here, but thankfully, Major Nelson was kind enough to list the game’s on his blog, which can be found here. This sale will last until Monday, July 11th.
Well, so much for the 4th of July, but I imagine most of you folks have no shortage of stuff to play on your day off. Check back later in the week; maybe there will be something new!
